Chestnuts have been grown for generations in the beautiful mountains of Campania, Italy, where in early Autumn, and only when nature decides they’re ready, the chestnuts naturally drop from the trees and are collected by the Contadini, the local farmers who use centuries old methods.
The Fresh Italian chestnuts season begins around in October and reaches its peak in mid-December, when the roasting of the flavorful nuts fill the air with the sweet aroma of the Holidays and make Christmas truly special.
